Daniel Rominski, Sensei Sensei Daito Ryu 5th Dan Bokuyokan Jun Dairi-Kyoju, USA pictured after keiko with Yonezawa Shihan, the founder of the Bokuyokan organization of Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu. Yonezawa Soshi Shihan received his Menkyo Kaiden from the Kodo Kai after being a direct Uchi Deshi to Kodo, Sensei founder of the Kodo Kai.

“Bokuyokan-Daito Ryu Aiki Jujutsu”

This calligraphy translates into the type of martial art we practice, that of being of the “Daito Ryu” Style of Jujutsu. The Bokuyokan is the name of the our organization of the “Bokuyokan” founded by KATSUMI YONEZAWA, SOSHI SHIHAN.

KATSUMI YONEZAWA, SOSHI SHIHAN

(1937–1998)

Acting as one of the Kodokai's senior teachers, Katsumi Yonezawa founded his own organization, the Bokuyokan. This organization is currently headed by his son, Hiromitsu Yonezawa. Katsumi Yonezawa founded his own Daito-ryu organization, the Bokuyokan in Muroran, Hokkaido, and was one of the first teachers to bring Daito-ryu Aiki-jujutsu to Mexico, the USA and Canada while still a senior teacher at the Kodokai.
